MetaMask – Ethereum Browser Extension
MetaMask is an extension for your browser that allows you to view the Ethereum blockchain right from your browser. The extension allows the user perform Ethereum transactions within their browser.
How does it all work?
MetaMask adds Ethereum’s Javascript API to any website. The extension can read information stored in the Blockchain when you visit a web page. This includes the Ethereum addresses of all wallets and their associated balances. It also includes the Ethereum address, balance of contract address, number of transactions, and other information.
As soon as a user signs up, a wallet is created in the user’s MetaMask client and the user can move tokens between addresses, make transfers and withdrawals, and move funds between wallets.
